WHAT TYPE OF PROTECTION DO KOH LENSES HAVE?KOH lenses are 100% UV400 CE Sun Protection, they are made of Polycarbonate or TAC. These lenses have several outstanding features: POLYCARBONATE: RESISTANCE: Polycarbonate is a very impact-resistant material, making it ideal for sports glasses. They are harder to break compared to regular glass or plastic lenses, making them more durable and safer. LIGHTWEIGHT: Polycarbonate lenses are considerably lighter than glass lenses, making them more comfortable to wear for extended periods. This is especially beneficial for those who wear sunglasses all day long. UV400 PROTECTION: UV400 protection sunglasses block 99-100% of ultraviolet light. They filter and block light rays with wavelengths up to 400 nanometers, including both UVA and UVB rays. TAC: TAC (Triacetate Cellulose) lenses are known for several distinctive features that make them popular in sunglasses and other types of eyewear. Their main features are described below: UV Protection: TAC lenses provide effective ultraviolet (UV) protection, blocking up to 100% of UVA and UVB rays, which is essential for protecting your eyes from sun damage. Polarization: One of the most notable features of TAC lenses is their polarization capability. These lenses reduce glare reflected off of surfaces such as water, snow, and roads, improving visual clarity and comfort. Lightness: TAC lenses are lightweight, which contributes to comfort when wearing the glasses for extended periods. Scratch Resistance: These lenses are scratch resistant, increasing their durability and maintaining clear vision for longer. Optical Clarity: TAC lenses offer excellent optical clarity, providing sharp, precise vision without distortion. Impact resistance: Although not as strong as polycarbonate lenses, TAC lenses still offer good impact resistance, protecting your eyes from potential injury. Thermal stability: TAC lenses have good thermal stability, which means they do not deform or change color when exposed to high temperatures. Multi-Layer: TAC lenses are typically made up of multiple layers including a polarizing layer, UV protection layers, anti-scratch layers, and layers to enhance durability and clarity. Anti-Reflective: Some TAC lenses come with an additional anti-reflective coating that helps reduce glare and internal reflections. As for the KOH lenses, some of them are also polarized and/or have a Revo filter: POLARIZED LENSES: Polarized lenses are designed to reduce glare caused by light reflecting off of flat surfaces such as water, snow, or roads. These lenses have a special filter that blocks polarized light at certain angles, improving visual clarity and reducing eye fatigue. REVO: Revo filter is a multi-layer NASA technology-based coating applied to lenses to improve clarity and contrast of vision. This coating reduces reflections and improves color perception, providing a sharper and more vivid visual experience. In short, polycarbonate lenses are strong, lightweight, and offer UV400 protection. KOH lenses may have additional features, such as being polarized to reduce glare and having a Revo filter to improve visual clarity and contrast. These additional features can provide a more comfortable and higher quality viewing experience.

WHAT MATERIAL ARE KOH SUNGLASSES FRAMES MADE OF?KOH sunglasses frames are made from several different materials. PC (Polycarbonate): Polycarbonate is a strong, lightweight plastic that is widely used in the manufacture of eyeglass frames. It offers durability and impact resistance. TR90: TR90 is a type of thermoplastic polymer material that is also lightweight and strong. It has excellent flexibility and shape memory, which means it can return to its original shape after being deformed. Metal: Metal frames, such as stainless steel or titanium, are popular for their durability and sleek look. Additionally, metal can be molded into a variety of styles and designs. Biodegradable Wheat Straw Frames: KOH also offers frames made from biodegradable materials, such as frames made from wheat straws. These sustainable materials are environmentally friendly and break down naturally over time. It is important to note that material options may vary by model and line of KOH sunglasses. Different materials may be used on different frames or lenses to accommodate style, functionality and sustainability preferences.
